Refund Policy
At Safe Landing Academy (SLA) we aim to provide high-quality programs in a supportive and safe environment. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, cancellations, and transfers may occur for courses, programs, and classes.
Please note that this policy applies to scheduled courses or multi-session programs only. Casual or ongoing classes booked on a session-by-session basis are generally non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law or where a class is cancelled by Safe Landing Academy.
Places in our programs are often limited to small groups, and late cancellations may prevent another participant from attending. We therefore ask participants to notify us as soon as possible if they are unable to attend.
Participant Cancellations (Courses & Programs)
If you are unable to attend a course or program, please notify Safe Landing Academy as soon as possible.
• Participants who cancel at least 2 weeks before the course start date are eligible for a full refund.
• Participants who cancel within 2 weeks of the course start date but before the first session are eligible for an 80% refund.
• Participants who cancel after the first session has taken place are eligible for a 60% refund of the course fee.
If a participant cannot obtain required medical clearance, they may cancel and receive a full refund, provided Safe Landing Academy is notified before the course start date.
Refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method.
Missed Classes
Refunds are generally not available for individual missed sessions within a course or program. In some cases, Safe Landing Academy may offer a make-up session or alternative option, where available.
Casual or Ongoing Classes
Bookings for casual or ongoing classes are generally non-refundable if a participant is unable to attend. Participants may request to transfer their booking to another available session where possible, but this is not guaranteed and is subject to availability.
If Safe Landing Academy cancels a class, participants will be offered either:
• a credit for a future class, or
• a full refund.
Programs Involving Older Adult Participants
Some Safe Landing Academy programs are designed for older adults and fall-prevention training. Participants may be asked to confirm that they are medically fit to participate or provide medical clearance from a healthcare professional where appropriate.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to safely participate in the program activities.
Program Changes or Cancellation by Safe Landing Academy
Safe Landing Academy reserves the right to:
• Reschedule sessions
• Adjust class times or instructors
• Cancel programs due to insufficient enrolments or unforeseen circumstances
If Safe Landing Academy cancels a program, participants will be offered either:
• a full refund, or
• the option to transfer to another available program.
Transfers
Course enrolments are generally non-transferable to another person unless approved by Safe Landing Academy. Transfer requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 10–14 business days of confirmation and will generally be issued using the original payment method.
