Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants attending programs, courses, workshops, and classes delivered by Safe Landing Academy (SLA). By registering for or attending a Safe Landing Academy activity, participants agree to the following terms.
1. Participation and Eligibility
Participants must ensure they are physically able to safely participate in the activities offered by Safe Landing Academy.
Each older adult participant will receive a link to a pre-screening survey to identify any medical conditions or limitations. Depending on survey responses, participants may be required to obtain medical clearance from a General Practitioner (GP) or another qualified healthcare professional before participating in the program.
Participants are responsible for informing Safe Landing Academy of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or limitations that may affect safe participation. Safe Landing Academy reserves the right to refuse participation if it believes doing so is necessary to protect the safety and wellbeing of the participant or others.
2. Health and Safety
Safe Landing Academy prioritises participant safety and provides instruction in a supportive and controlled environment.
Participants agree to:
• follow all instructions provided by instructors
• participate within their personal limits
• inform instructors immediately of pain, discomfort, or injury
• behave respectfully toward other participants and staff
Safe Landing Academy reserves the right to refuse or stop participation if an instructor believes continuing would create a safety risk.
3. Bookings and Payments
Bookings must be completed through the approved registration or booking process.
Full payment is generally required to secure a place in a course or program unless otherwise specified.
Places may be limited due to small group sizes.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Safe Landing Academy Refund & Cancellation Policy, available on our website.
In summary:
• Refund terms apply primarily to courses and structured programs.
• Casual or ongoing classes are generally non-refundable if a participant cannot attend.
• If Safe Landing Academy cancels a class or program, participants will be offered either a refund or a transfer to another available session.
5. Program Changes
Safe Landing Academy reserves the right to:
• modify class schedules or locations
• substitute instructors where necessary
• reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances
• cancel programs due to insufficient enrolments or safety concerns
Where possible, participants will be notified in advance.
6. Photography and Media
Safe Landing Academy may take photographs or video recordings during programs for documentation, training, or promotional purposes (such as website or social media content).
Where appropriate, participants will be informed and may request not to appear in promotional materials.
7. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. Safe Landing Academy is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought to classes or events.
